Kazin, Alfred

   American critic. Born in Brooklyn, he studied at City College of New York and Columbia University. He taught at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His works include a multi-volume autobiography: A Walker in the City, Starting Out in the Thirties and New York Jew.
